1 Identify your styles

The first step is to identify your own communication style and your boss's communication style. There are many frameworks and tools that can help you with this, such as the DISC model, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or the Communication Styles Matrix. These can help you understand your preferences, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as your boss's. For example, you might discover that you are a high S (Steady) style, which means you value stability, harmony, and cooperation, while your boss is a high D (Dominant) style, which means they value results, action, and authority.

One thing I've found helpful is that, if you keep updating as well as asking for updates, the communication gap lessens and so do many conflicts that might arise. - Some of the effective & practical ways to communicate are: ? Observe & adjust as per the approach of your boss. ? Maintain clarity & transparency. ? Be professional throughout. ? Try to persuade through the message, emphasizing on project's needm ? Try to align & come at a common ground. ? Be open, little adaptive and committed towards mutual pr ultimate goals for mutual benefits.
