I once made an improvement change request and was demanded to show cause. The thing is I had done my research. I had consulted. I had taken feedback and using that I made recommendations for implementation. The changes affected two people highly, and they went very south. Why are you changing? What is wrong with the old process? And even who gave you authority to do so? Well, I am factual. I presented data that formed the recommendations report and backed up with the Kaizen principles. Processes must be improved not because things are broken but for better results. The final position was the recommendations were accepted. Is it a comfortable space? No. But it's doable with facts.

Yes, I’ve faced challenges to my leadership, especially when managing change. My strategy is to remain calm, address issues head-on, and actively listen to concerns. Building trust through transparency and empathy is key. I ensure that my decisions are backed by logic and communicated clearly. By consistently demonstrating competence and fairness, I maintain respect. Ultimately, I make it clear that challenges are opportunities to grow together as a team.
