I try to apply 3 T's when working with suppliers. Trust, transparency & team work. It is the quickest route to improving the relationship. Working openly and being able to acknowledge you don't have all the answers, but work with the suppliers and industry peers to gain the knowledge.

I have been fortunate to learn from colleagues in legal, finance, accounting, engineering, production, trade compliance, etc. Most will help you understand details you might not know by simply talking to them and asking them questions.

La experiencia me ha demostrado que primero está el cliente y desde esa perspectiva una ves definidas las categorías de productos y el rol de cada una , se busca el portafolio de proveedores afín con esos objetivos con mayor sentido y éxito en el desarrollo del negocio , después está el soporte de marca y logístico que tenga el proveedor y una ves seleccionado generar una relación Win Win con un contrato marco del programa y una relación de Partner Ships … El margen comercial NO tiene relevancia en Retail si no se desarrolla primero la potencia ,model stock y disponibilidad con el proveedor para tener ROTACIóN asegurada. Mientras no se consiga eso se peligra caer en liquidaciones de sobrestock no deseados , que “parecían buen Negocio”
