The initial step towards becoming a PROFICIENT (why only better? Drive for proficiency!!!) problem solver involves developing a thorough understanding of the problem by defining its scope, objectives, and constraints!!! This entails asking clarifying questions, conducting research, and analyzing relevant information to gain insights into the underlying factors contributing to the problem. Clarifying the problem's parameters lays the foundation for identifying potential solutions and devising effective problem-solving strategies.

It is important to understand the problems, Once the problem is understood is already solved by 50% . This stage takes time because it needs through understanding how the variables affect each other.

After understanding the problem deeply it is important to gather some information which will help you test your hypothesis and later on solve the problem.

In research we use literature review to understand what work has been already done in the area. Same can be applied in other areas as well. Search for information relating to similar problems from different sources such as online or offline documents, forums etc. Study what solution has been applied in those situations. And build your work on that information.

Brainstorm and generate a range of potential solutions or approaches to address the problem. Encourage creativity and divergent thinking to explore different perspectives and possibilities. Consider both conventional and unconventional alternatives, keeping in mind the desired outcomes and constraints. Generating multiple alternatives expands the pool of potential solutions and fosters innovation.
