Learning analytics can cover a wide range of topics and measures. It's often broken down to separate levels of evaluation. In simple terms: Level 0 - Did they take the training Level 1 - Did they like the training Level 2 - Did they learn it Level 3 - Did they use it on the job Level 4 - Did it have an impact on performance Level 5 - Was it worth it (ROI) When analyzing learning metrics it's always important to identify the success measures upfront. It's more than just defining learning objectives (what do we want the employee to learn), but also how and when we want them to use it, which business metrics we want to impact (sales, costs, safety, quality, etc) and by how much.
