Backup the data and keep the entire backup encrypted at file level Later factory reset device add some heavy files for over writing and perform factory resent once more Best option in the end destroy the device or remove emmc/NAND chip or dispose off the phone in ocean waters depths

If your only concern is securely disposing of the device you need to wrap it in a thick towel (to prevent parts going everywhere), put on safety goggles just to be safe, and then smash it into pieces with a ten pound sledge hammer. No lab on earth can recover data from a phone if you’ve rendered it to small pieces with a hammer.
