In a day we come across definitive tasks and experimental tasks. Definitive tasks are where we know the result and we do it often and they are necessary to be executed. Experimental tasks are critical in keeping us motivated as they induce excitement and learning as the outcome is unknown. It's good to have a good proportion of both these in the priority list.

An ATC uses different parameters to decide who goes first if there is a conflict. Suppose there is plane in the sky approaching the airport with low fuel due to some reason, it becomes the wildly important task for the ATC to land it, other planes need to go around if required. Simple example could be saying "Can you please come back to me after evaluation?", making clear what each person's role is ; or saying "Lets evaluate later", where the other person is now waiting for you, and the monkey stays on your shoulder.
