I’ve worked with teams were a simple documentation written on a Google doc carried the message across, while in other teams flow charts on a miro board with stickie notes (colourful ones of course) was able to help us ideate and innovate and come up with informed and visualised solutions. For some teams text form seems to work just as well as diagrams, and if you have excellent communicators on the team then their just words could make the magic happen as well. For me personally, I lean towards diagrams and brainstorming sessions on whiteboards.
