I agree on this school of thought. Indeed the software selection is based on project scope,complexity and industry. One more important parameter Software needs to be selected is its ease of learnability. Whatever the software we choose, In the end the human resources needs to work on it to ensure the successful delivery of any project. For example , In between A and B softwares, A - Extraordinary features & So difficult to learn. B - less than extraordinary (does its job) & Easy to master. I would prefer in this case to go with B as it significantly increases the ease of operations and ultimately you can easily deploy more resources to work on it in quick time and efficient output would be delivered.

Choosing a Software with which most of the CAD modelers in the team are familiar with and have some good experience while using it, will solve half of the problem. other half gets solved, when they decide that all the members should use the same software same edition same version, to escape the intra-sharring errors.

Customizing settings is entirely a personal decision. However, there can sometimes be challenges with hardware. For instance, you may not be able to increase the graphical resolutions in your software without adequate hardware and GPU. By the way, it’s beneficial to set up your desired shortcuts based on your routines. They can help increase your design speed and fluency. Please avoid installing extra add-ins when you don’t need them, as they can have adverse effects on your speed and performance.

Not only when using CAM software but as in any virtual environment, automation through scripts mainly - in my case - speeds up the execution of routine activities. These tools promote a gain in productivity and visibility for the team in a way that is incompatible with the number of people, in other words, "production" will exceed expectations.

Automation is critical; I use macros and scripting to automate repetitive tasks within the CAD software, saving time and reducing human error.

Doing automate repetitive tasks will save lot of time as well increases efficiency. In this way it is a good thing to do it, For example creating a Library of reusable components.

When dealing with projects with multiple components and drawings, having two monitors is a real game changer in efficiency. Being able to quickly move back and forth between two screens makes all the difference. Finding a software that has both 3D modeling and 2D drawing is also really helpful when it comes to compiling the project. Having compatible files in your software can help save a lot of steps in the finishing process.

If you wanna design mega-assembly tool, it is strongly recommended to seperate full assembly to seperated smaller sub-assembly. For example: You need to create each unit in a seperated assembly files and gather them in secondary full assembly. So what's the advantage og this method?? What do u think? This method will help u to use regular hardware & also this will eliminates any crash in ur single mega-assembly during revise it. How about u? What else do u suggest????

Something really important is to stay focus on the real need. If it takes 5 minutes to create an urgent document on a paper instead of one day using CAD tool..information is better than esthetic ( do this later when important matters are solved).
