What's the best way to recruit for multiple roles and projects at the same time?

And most importantly: take good notes and share with at least one person on your team, so that you aren't a single point of failure.

As a High volume recruiter, i often have to work and fill multiple roles at multiple grade levels and locations. But something I focus on that has helped me always is : 1. Clear job descriptions. Makes work much easier when you know what kind of talent you need. 2.Leveraging an applicant tracking system, employee referrals, Network to identify best talent 3.Continuous candidate engagement, very crucial. 4. Working on effective recruitment metrics and strategies as per market. 5. Collaboration between teams and hiring managers is very essential.

What has offered me the most efficiency and flexibility when managing several big projects at the same time has been to implement “micro-routines” for myself. These allow me to organize my smaller tasks into clear working orders, while still leaving the bigger tasks and project goal an overall flexibility. For instance, an integrated routine for the order in which I log and report after having conducted an interview. This way I don’t spend time thinking about the order in which I should log and report after each interview. This, combined with a range of other micro routines, free up time and mental capacity that is more efficiently spent on bigger and more complex tasks.

Find the commonalities across the positions, and use as a starting point to build a sourcing plan. Are you supporting one hiring manager with multiple openings? Are there functional overlaps in responsibilities where you can do one generalized search and source for multiple positions simultaneously? Any in-house team should also have a few automated searches set up, whether via job board or within the ATS. Create a boolean that identifies and scrapes the right industry fit, and then proactively reach out to the candidates with a warm introduction, or route them into more specified talent pools for future use.
