When printing functional end use parts: look into inlaid 3D prints to capture the best of both worlds with detail and strength. You don't need to maintain the same print settings for every component, or even within the same component. By printing labels or other high detail components with a high resolution (nozzle and/or layer height) you can then inlay these into a print of less resolution. This is done by adding a void of the same size of the component and adding a pause to the g-code at the right layer to allow placement of the component before resuming printing. This can also be used to inlay components of varying layer orientation to get more strength in varying directions.
