Another common misconception about Agile that is somewhat akin to "Agile means no planning" is "Agile means chaos". Some in the industry interpret Agile as freedom from processes or even discipline. This may stem from the core principle of Agile, which is adaptability, including in the processes themselves. It's crucial to recognize that Agile is not a chaotic process, and that Agile demands discipline, especially because of its adaptability. There's a difference between adapting your processes for improvement and merely neglecting them, sometimes due to hastiness or procrastination. Methodologies implementing Agile often require a high level of discipline to succeed.
I have something else to share because both sides (company and mostly customers) understand that Agile we can assign anything at any time to anyone to start and stop working. The company side either doesn't have a proper leaders and team to inspire and motivate Agile culture inside or top/bottom sides are not aligned to a single process across the company level. Customer side, as mostly they care of output and delivered solutions they think agile is helpful for company to take more time hence they start assigning vague tasks. Although after doing a proper (internal and external) workshop, somehow it's not being followed because every one thinks to complete the asssigned from own side.
