In my experience, implementing APQP in some industries has some complexities. For example, in the Automotive industry, you can easily schedule and execute all the APQP phases, and in general, it can be said that there is a meaningful connection between the phases in this industry, but if we enter the lubricant industry, the matter is not so simple. For example, the product design phase (formulation) and design validation are done with a short time interval. Also, the phase of process design and process validation is not very useful due to the use of current technology of lubricant production refineries. This issue makes it impossible to separate APQP phases from each other. All of these issues affect the issue of design monitoring.
