Something they should get in school, but going from paramedic to RN, the LAST thing you get from nursing school is knowing how to think critically. As a medic it was an entire course we had to take, and it was not easy.

Reflection on the process is really important part of critical thinking. It's like stepping back and looking at the final picture you painted. Usually, when we reflect we get deeper understanding about the way we do things or we think. But sometimes, it's too normal for the person and they don't realise any issue with their behavior. That's why feedback from peers, superiors and customers is important. But this feedback should be corrective and positive. The feedback should be focused on what could be done better and not what they did wrong. This will help employees more open to feedback. This is especially important in hospitality industry, because employees deal with people all the time and dealing with people could be hard for some.
