Smoothing reduces the jaggedness or pixelation of the mask edge by applying a curve or filter. Contracting or expanding shrinks or enlarges the mask edge by a certain number of pixels. Refining adjusts the mask edge based on the color or contrast of the image. Additionally, tools like the quick selection tool, the magic wand tool, or the color range tool can be used to make selections based on color or contrast.
Refine Edges: When making selections, use the refine edge feature to smooth out the edges and make the mask appear more natural. Utilize Layer Masks: Utilize layer masks for non-destructive editing, allowing you to easily modify the mask without altering the original image.
