Yup. The grid system works every time it helps us to get an idea about the space and positioning even before starting to place assets and content. Saves a bunch of time. But We can try a grid system that's one for both pages if it's feasible in printing and apt in the situation.

I would like to add one thing, Hierarchy. Choose the colour with purpose, Be it the tone of voice or legibility. Use the colour palette for creating the best visual hierarchy decide where you want to make the user look first. Create a flow. Make sure the important part won't be missed. Hierarchy can be made with different factors like size contrast and styles. But colours are one of the important aspects of it too.
