Also, I suggest using a work log record template to remember what you did in the previous session (I found closing all the tabs on my browser a painful thing to do because you will forget them all :)

In my Opinion, PLAN to achieve the desired outcome is the first course of action for achieving any deadlines, Secondly the resources you have to achieve that deadline must be very precise and clear instructions or standard operating Procedures must define before any research.

You need to be aware of " Time Management " to meet the deadline. For example, divide your task in to different segments & fix a time frame for each segment so that you will be aware how much time is left to complete the work within the deadline. This way you can control the time.

One piece of advice from an experienced researcher that has stuck with me is to be a good teamplayer, that sometimes you will need others, and later times others will need you. Therefore helping others with their extensive deadlines is also a way to "budget" in some "future-proof" help when it's your turn to be under the waves and build long-lasting professional collaboration. Also, the sense of "busy-ness" is highly overrated, because there are seasons/weeks/days that our schedules are highly packed, but other times we can rest, recharge, and go help others.
