I absolutely agree with saying Drone Surveying can complement traditional surveying. Replace traditional surveying methods… Nah maybe one day. You can’t scan hardscapes if they can’t be physically seen. Example Buried invert or Back of curb. And how about that Kudzu, steam and water. However having a drone with the idea of having it as tool in the toolbox is a win win. Great use for some projects example Asbuilts,Altas,Topos. It boils down to another tool. I feel Drone surveyors should have experience doing the down and dirty stuff first. They will be able to put Deliverables onto the drafting table that meet clients expectations.
