Companies tend not to trust cloud applications that don't have a specific server, under their control, for the proprietary (or otherwise protected) information that they need to run simulations on. If they have on-premise VMs to run the simulations then great, but "open" cloud-based solutions often have a difficult time passing security measures. This can still be accomplished with VM-clouds if the tool/platform can be hosted, that tends to work well. The trick is in getting the VMs to fully align with the configurations required to adequately simulate the on-prem systems that run production operations.

AI and Machine Learning are still so misunderstood as a technology. For simple information requests they are fantastic. For more complex simulations they require as much sophistication from the requester as the system itself. Combining SMEs, Process Analysts, Data Scientists, and experienced AI/ML developers can yield fantastic results but that combination is still very rare to exist in most businesses.
