One thing I have found very helpful is encouraging the team to ask questions if they don't have prior understanding on the topic. I have experienced it specially when a new team member joins, they may not be equipped with simple things like acronyms and jargons used within team. First step is to provide data on that. A team need continuous support from the leaders or seniors working in that team. Any training program is successful if the resources in the training knows that where this knowledge is going to be used.

This is an interesting area to discuss. I categorize these into two. First one is internal data that we collect. Here the team who work on data should have a clear understanding of data. While working with an airline, in bookings we have seen there are four sources for an address. In some cases we found all four are different, in some cases there are ambiguity. Now some one who works on these kind of situation should have a clear idea of business and the data patterns and reliability of DATA. In same domain I have seen there are multiple external sources(type two) we need to put together to answer business questions'. For example fuel data. Again this used to come from different sources carrying multiple truths.

In my opinion Offering sufficient access to data to encourage learning: One of the best ways to learn data literacy is to practice with real data. Providing the team members with sufficient access to the data in the Datawarehouse, as well as the tools and platforms to explore and analyze it, can foster a culture of curiosity and experimentation. It can also help them discover new insights and opportunities from the data, as well as identify and resolve any data quality issues.
