What are some effective ways to foster quality control in your team?

I have a comment on this point, sometimes you need to give the team an amount of flexibility in dealing with goals and how to achieve them. Also, if this is a QA team, sometimes having customer satisfaction as an indicator of quality is frustrating because sometimes the QA team does its job very well but defects are not solved, so in this case the final quality of the application is not an indicator of the quality of their work.

Explaining the purpose of the activity and getting a buy in from the team is the most important thing. If our teams know Why they are performing a task, then only we will accomplish the essence of the activity. Goals are only for governance or to track our journey. Setting up goals without explaining or vaguely explaining the purpose of activity will build a culture where employees do things for the sake of doing it, often leading to lack of motivation or carelessness.

Customer is King! To make King happier,Cost effective, timely schedule,Safety achievements are great. However,when Quality adds 2 it, it makes a perfect Go. We should always &anytime should focus &guaranttee &"not waranty" on Quality Assurance of our deliverables to the customer. The rest of all accomplishments will follow us. 2 improve quality, we should nuture the individual, team,discipline, management,employer &all stakeholders.Everyone should realize the time &effort of each &every individual. Remember, mistakes, failures r bound 2 happen by human but shall not repeat the same mistakes or failures,this should be the mantra or our motto. Mistakes repeated r crime and injustice 2 our customer &that shall not be entertained."Hail Quality"

I actually disagree. The first step is to understand what is the purpose of the team or organization. (BTW Revenue is an outcome not a purpose) Step two is to discover the purpose of the individuals. Step 3. Align the right people in the right seats based on purpose to achieve the purpose of the team or organization. Now you have the right people in the right seats who can achieve the right outcomes. Now feel free to set goals

Pursue quality instead of chasing compliance - by prioritizing quality over compliance. Instead of focusing solely on meeting regulatory requirements, organization should strive to create a culture where employees genuinely care about the quality of their work. This approach can help create a culture where employees are motivated to produce high-quality products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.

The practical challenge we face with these trainings is the implementation of learning from the employees. Providing case studies as examples or assessing them through case studies may help, but this requires dedicated resources and efforts from the management.

Organizations talk about importance of communication but they seldomly create a culture for flow of relevant information between department. Overwhelming employees with tons of emails doesn't help, cascading information that is relevant to them is the key. The front line management plays an important role here, it's their responsibility to cascade relevant information to employees in a manner they understand.

On communication: Keep staff informed at all times. Information is power, and involving them in every work process creates ownership, accountability and responsibility - Taking responsibility for failures and credit for successes. Unfortunately, allowing team members to all engage customers for feedback without proper communication channels would create confusion and compromise on quality processes. I agree that in the product transformation process, the customer should be at the "input, output" sections and provide feedback over the design and quality of the final product.

Remember some people see rewards differently. Some want time off. Some want additional benefits, some want experiences, some want money. How do you know…… Ask them.

I don't see this as a separate activity, rather I see this as an outcome of aligning teams with the purpose of activity and providing them appropriate trainings. Often companies talk about innovation and continuous improvement, they drive idea themes sometimes with rewards, but the key ingredient for continuous improvement is employees understanding and alignment to the purpose of activity.

Don’t forget to measure Employee Satisfaction when measuring Quality. If your team is not happy how do you expect high Quality output and experiences.

Customer satisfaction is one of the major principles of quality management. One common thing is that organisations mostly focus on achieving satisfaction to the external customers without necessarily initiating CI on internal customers (who are the employees/team members). Challenging the status quo and innovation are viewed by employees as threats to their positions or work conditions. Many are comfortable mark-timing than scalling the heights of growth and improvement.

While all these things are powerful ways to improve quality, the #1 way is to have the employees put themselves in the position of the customer. They should want the customer to have a good experience with every one of their products, and they should be thinking about how the customer views their company in relation to other providers. Each person in the value chain needs to want to be the best

Identification with the product and the customer is by far the most powerful drivers of quality engagement - if these are missing, no quality measures will have meaningful effect
