Promoting resources sound like the easiest thing in the world, but it can actually be a daunting task--do you print signs, send emails, post videos on TikTok, or something else entirely? My advice: start somewhere that you're comfortable, consistently do that thing, then add to it. For example, if you're a good book talker make a video each week, and after you've got that down to an easy to manage ten minutes, make some tabletop signs that you can change out each week. The important things to remember are to be consistent and keep it manageable so you don't burn out--perfection is not necessary in this endeavor.

If you're fortunate to have a library instruction class, this is fairly easy, but if you're in a public institution you'll have to be creative. The grassroots method is teaching a man to fish. I have to fight my own instinct to look stuff up FOR people, instead of the slower route of showing them how to do it themselves--and sometimes people don't want to learn, which is fine--but most people appreciate being shown how to do something so they don't have to keep asking me. For your tech-savvy patrons you might try posting QR codes that link to how-to videos. Sometimes people don't want to admit their ignorance and appreciate the opportunity to learn without asking for help.
