First, you have to understand in a deep and subtle way those with whom you communicate. You are not an AI bot just sharing infos. Second, you have to bring your own value to the table - and authenticity means frist and foremost self awareness.

To succeed in #projects, focus on improving your communication skills. Good communication means clear and effective messages, which helps everyone work together smoothly and avoid misunderstandings. It creates a positive team environment, leading to better project results. Practice active listening, use simple language, and be open to feedback from others. In my view, good communication involves two things: paying attention and knowing when to speak. Frequently, a close observation has the ability to bring forth hidden undercurrents that, if left unnoticed, might pose risks to the overall execution. Furthermore, as a wise leader, consistently holding back from unnecessary words not only lets the team share their viewpoints but also creates a fair environment where colleagues feel safe to express their thoughts.

In my experience, digital skills are essential for project success today. They help streamline processes, boost productivity and keep up with the fast-paced digital world. Mastering project management software, data analytics, and virtual collaboration enables efficient and innovative project delivery. Continously learning and staying updated on digital trends is crucial for staying competitive and achieving better results in projects.

Learning relevant Digital Skills is a key ingredient of successful leader. In my experience, being aware of (and adopting) two things will be critical. At a What (and Why level) - Being aware of what a tech can do - at a fundamental level (how is it different from its predecessor, key differentiators etc) will be crucial. In the world when tech can be outdated before you even hear its name, remaining aware of what it can fundamentally do - gives you advantage. At a How level: Once you do determine what matters - weather it is Generative AI, Data Analytics in Project Management etc, determining 'right' source of truth to learn.

In my experience, developing critical thinking skills has been vital for achieving successful project outcomes. It empowers me to analyze information, assess different opinions, and make informed decisions for the projects I lead. Also, I recommend embracing curiosity, it makes you a more confident and effective project manager.

Critical thinking means you are able to think for yourself. If you cannot spot the swot items in everything you read, hear, see - you are far away from it. If you cannot bring at least 2 new perspectives (reframe) to any small info you read or receive - you are again far far away. Start with these 2 points and train yourself. It takes a couple of months, but it does wonders to how you see the world and are capable to stand out.

In my experience working on projects for the past 20 years, emotional intelligence skills are crucial as they facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and understanding among team members, leading to improved teamwork and higher project success rates. You can develop these skills through self-awareness exercises, active listening, empathy training, conflict resolution workshops, and promoting a positive and emotionally supportive work environment that values open communication and feedback.

Emotional intelligence is what will allow you to excel in all the other areas listed here, and will make you stand out. Here's why: When you're aware of what you're thinking and feeling and know exactly who you are and want to be you can decide on your behavior moment to moment with calmness, clarity and confidence. It's also what allows you to be exceptionally focused on and interested in others, making you a great listener and connector. It's a knowing and it's the key to true, grounded confidence.

Emotional intelligence starts with self-awareness. Improving your self awareness and understanding some of the reasons why you may react certain ways under different stimuli will greatly improve your emotional intelligence. You are interesting for who you are so bring your unique story to the table. An AI bot does not have it. Continuous learning skills. Yes, it is a skill. Unless very well developed, you cannot stay alive on the market.
