Frameworks and tools are very important as there are different frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras and Sci-kit. So if you are familiar with one of them shifting to the other one can be a little tricky. Some frameworks support particular models and some might not so design and implementation changes a lot. When anyone Is aiming to accept an Machine learning position:- 1)Should know the ethics of Machine learning 2) Working culture with peers should by empathic. 3)Should have command on basic libraries like Numeric python(Numpy),pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn and scikit learn. 4) Understanding ability of New Problems in easy and conveyable manner. 5)Don't overfit .

I agree with most of the viewpoints but, the single most important consideration is finding out how “data mature” the organisation is and how data governance is managed - because this would affect the kind of work you’d be spending most of your time on. If the organisation is still starting out, your time will go into a lot of data cleansing and preparation. If it is data mature, you’ll be mainly looking how to harness and get insights of that data. This will affect the impact you are able to make, in turn your job satisfaction and finally how much you’re growing. Finally the more value you add, the better you’ll be compensated too. So reach out to existing employees and do a thorough research - don’t judge a book (or role) by its cover!

Apart from this, you should clear about your organization which you're going to work and also the work which you're going to do. One of my friend is joined in a company in the role of Machine Learning Engineer but her work is nothing related with that. And also, the organization don't have great project in that area. She don't checked it before now she suffers. Be clear with the organization and their project before accepting offer.
