Paying close attention to areas that could break with ease (e.g., hinges, ribbon cables etc.). Take pictures of each step as they will help tremendously when reassembling the device. My manufacturer of choice for small electronics tools is iFixit. I've lost track of how many devices I've fixed in controlled and uncontrollable environments. Totally agree with it. Nowadays most laptop got motherboard with a built in ports and cards. Small shock or frequency will affect badly on the entire mothrboard. Which will make it too costly to repair laterly

I never recommend home repair of warranteed products. If it is covered you save money and time, manage liablity and get new parts under coverage. There are only limited things you may change that warrentees dont cover and most are software related. Let the responsible, qualified party you already paid do the heavy lifting.

Some of the repairs need usage of sharp tools to separate touch screed with actual screen, repair need to be handled very carefully as you could get cut by knife or other tool. Carefully handle the screen as it could crack into sharp pieces, if there would be a protective layer it shouldn't be the case as glass should stay together but if there isn't there is a higher potential for injury. Opening case using screwdriver etc, you could get your skin trapped into case or tool could slip on the screw which could cause potential injury.

If you haven't done it, I would recommend to try on some older or already broken equipment to see how parts are behaving when you trying to take them apart. Also, the most important - make sure you have right make and model of the part you are replacing.
