Choose the strongest vertical or horizontal line and rotate the image until that line is perfectly vertical or horizontal. If the most obvious line is pefect, then the other lines will be easier to accept if they are leaning.

Best to get exposure correct in camera. But, if an image is too dark, or too light, often it can be adjusted after capture. Learn to mask off different parts of an image so they can be made lighter/darker independent from the rest of the image. Explore subject selection tools to do this.

Color accuracy will be driven by your exposure. Get the exposure first, the white balance second, and everything else after. Exposure and white balance are global. If those are off, then all the HSL adjustment in the world won't save you.
