Practically, after several LR's i learned Do's and Don'ts and specifically not to loose myself in the ocean. Research can use modernity methods (i.e. thought experiments), in this case a few people can follow the progress of this research, the researcher will spend a lifetime trying to surrmount intellectual opposition and in the case of academia, unless the thought experimenter had secured a comfortable job, getting funding is very difficult. On the other hand, contemporary methods are main stream, and have always produced profiting results, if not for anything but to defending the researcher intellectual outcome as it includes literature review from the beginning, and as a prerequisite. Start by writing an outline; it will make it so much easier than to just sit on the laptop to write with no plan. In the outline, establish sections/subsections or themes/subthemes. If you feel blocked, start writing whatever comes to mind. It will get easier as you move along the process. Introduce the lit review with a general statement about what the reader is going to encounter and you plan to discuss overall. Be strategic about what to include in the review. What are the main points made by X source? Synthesizing is critical. Summarize key ideas/points at the end of each section. End your review by hinting where your research fits within these sources you have discussed, or where your research fills gaps left by the literature.
Synthesizing is extremely important. You're not outlining the whole study that you're citing all over again; what you're extracting from each piece of literature to include in your review is the relevant finding/conclusion that moves you along in the development process of how you got to your own research question, like train stops. The strategy you'll have is that each relevant finding from one piece of literature will inform the next, and inform the next until your outline shows the building-up that has occurred in the field until you get to the gaps, where your research comes in.

Scepticism has always been a key part of the scientific method, but now we have models capable of summarising huge corpuses of text in a matter of seconds it will be all too easy to accept the reviews at face value and lose our grasp on this key ability we use to protect and better ourselves. As we mature alongside AI, I think our best hope to maintain our scepticism is to put ourselves into an Approver role when looking at an AI generated document, leveraging its strength to scan the breadth of a subject area against our ability to think critically.
