It is ironic that both Contour and Tradelens have ceased operation. Blockchain has been touted for many years as the solution to so many problems but the reality is that it has failed in the market. While the Bitcoin blockchain was a remarkable development to prevent double spend of a digital currency without an intermediary it hasn’t succeeded in its original aim of enabling affordable digital micro payments. It is more used as a store of value or for speculation.
