In my experience, one must also consider that BYOD pose an escalated risk by virtue of the possibly different technologies being used within that device from the rest of the organization. It is critical that as professionals, we pay extra attention to detail when handling these devices and policies relating to them as well as ensuring that they are included in any security planning and updates.
