100%! Your ability to adjust your communication style to fit your team members needs is the single most valuable skill you need to develop. Being able to actively listen to your team and pick up how they communicate with you to learn how to best communicate with them will serve you effectively by maximizing the impact of what your saying to your team members. Listening and mimicing styles will create a resonance with the information but it will also create a deeper trust with your team as they subconsiously recognize the value your placing in them by changing your style rather than forcing them to adapt to you.

Motivational skills are essential for coaching others in insurance, as you need to help your coachees set and achieve their goals, overcome challenges, and stay engaged and committed. This skill is not a skill at all, most poeple in the world are "motivated" at work through threats or incentives. When working with your team, understand what they value, how they preffer recognition, and what challenges have they experienced that migh help you generate a reward the not only motivates but builds loyalty as well. My experience in this arena has been building personal connections results in more motivation and action that a specific program or strategy to try and induce activity.
