Testing every option is nearly impossible, so knowledge sharing within communities becomes crucial. Often, consulting with an expert cloud representative can save considerable time by identifying which services to avoid, especially those that might be deprecated or lack sufficient investment. Integration capabilities is a key consideration, it's important to evaluate how well different cloud services integrate with existing tools and systems.

Understanding the distinct features, advantages, and limitations of these cloud platforms is paramount. Each platform brings its unique set of infrastructure, platform, and software services to the table, shaping the way we build, test, and deploy applications. This diversity demands that DevOps professionals stay well-versed in the intricacies of each service, enabling them to make informed decisions based on the specific needs of their projects.

Each major cloud provider have in not thousands at least hundreds of different products and services. And this number is ever increasing. Latest example is Generative AI where almost every cloud provider has rolled out their own offerings. For a DevOps professional to support adoption of these new technologies is the biggest disruption in my opinion. They just don't have to allow its adoption they have to ensure that services are secure, monitored and alerted to avoid outages, automated to allow velocity and many more.

Shift to Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Environments: DevOps is adapting to manage applications and services across multiple cloud provider. 5. DevSecOps: Integrating security practices into DevOps workflows (DevSecOps) has become crucial. 6. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML): The use of AI/ML in DevOps is transforming how teams manage and optimize systems.

Another interesting pattern is being able to leverage APIs and programmatically integrate non-cloud ready applications. Innovative approaches of decomposing may have to be thought of. Today we speak about micro-services. Probably, we'll soon talk about nano-services in the near future, with much more agility and completely different characteristics. These may not need docker, Kubernetes and serverless too. These may be nano-services by design powered by strong ML models to directly integrate.
