Twitter ("X") does provide you with a profile opportunity. But it's not nearly as robust as what LinkedIn offers. So... why not push people from Twitter to LinkedIn? Twitter provides you with the means to publish a link on your profile there. Use your LinkedIn profile URL in that link so that people who come to your profile on Twitter will be tempted to click over to LinkedIn. Then make sure your LinkedIn profile uses the "not a resume but a resource" train of thought throughout, so you can start building the subject-matter expertise you're hopefully trying to establish on Twitter.
