Phishing attacks are a common method used to trick users into revealing their credentials. MFA can help reduce the risk of a successful attack. as even if an employee falls for a phishing email and provides their password, the additional authentication factor required by MFA would still prevent unauthorized access. These are all tools in a the security tool boxes that help protect any employee onsite or not.

3 Educate and train your mobile workforce

One of the most important ways to secure your mobile workforce is to educate and train them on the best practices and policies for mobile security. Your mobile workforce should be aware of the common threats and risks that they may encounter, such as phishing, malware, public Wi-Fi, and device theft or loss. To be very open and honest the education should not be changed for the mobile workforce very much and the more standard the training is and related to handling data, phishing, protecting data, and general security the better. MFA should be standard through out the organisation and be reinforced why the mobile user requires it. Now let's not forget VPN as not everyone is Zero Trust Architecture yet and VPNs importance to the whole security of the employee and the organisation. Prioritising education, training, and awareness among your workforce, you can establish a strong foundation for the organisation's security and minimise the risk of data breaches or unauthorized access. This will be across the total organisation.

Another way to secure your mobile workforce is to monitor and audit their activities and behaviors on their mobile devices. You can use various tools and techniques to collect and analyze data on how your mobile workforce accesses, uses, and transfers corporate data and systems.
