As we all know, pictures speak a thousand words. It’s therefore essential to make your proposals and quotes visually appealing. I have come across companies that try to fill up their proposals with mind numbing data and text which ultimately makes their proposal look dry and more dangerously, very complex. My sincere attempt in all my proposals is to make things simple to understand. So if there is an activity that you are planning to conduct during your sales program, better use a picture of a similar event. If you are proposing an impact on your clients top line, use a pie chart to show the feedback received from past programs that indicates the rise in interest level of participants. The most complex task here is to keep things simple.

When the customer asks "What does it cost?" give a very matter-of-fact business-like response: "Oh, it doesn't cost anything; it's an investment! And you will immediately notice the value and pay-off ROI." That will complete the sale. ??

One of the best ways to begin the conversation is giving a thorough recap of every single possible key point that your client has mentioned. Then ask if this is correct or if there is anything they’d like to add here. You cannot present a concrete solution unless you thoroughly understand the problem AND your client is 100% convinced that you understand the problem.

A sales quote should educate and persuade, not confuse. Your goal is to make your offering so clear and compelling that the customer can't imagine going with any other option. Think of possible objections from all kinds of stakeholders. Address them before and during the quote before they're raised. The common stakeholders could be: Management: They care about the high level purpose behind their purchase. So you state about how it aligns with the big picture. User: They just want easier day to day. So you highlight the everyday practical benefits. Technical: They care about technical details and specs. So you highlight the latest technical specs and the easy switch. Economical: They care about the value for the price. So you show how there it delivers value on multiple fronts, making it hard to compare others that might be cheaper. Expect their pushbacks. And address them before being asked.

Consider to include always references from other customer and industry information about how others industry peers perform using your solution to solve similar business needs. In advance summarize other customer objections an present to customer so explain how other customer solved that to be proactive in pushbacks

Part of your job as a sales professional is to do competitive research and to be prepared for any objections. They WILL come and if you are prepared, you can help your customer through them. If you do a great job in the early going, you may have a sense of what’s coming your way. I HIGHLY recommend joining an association within your chosen field and discussing common objections with colleagues. You’ll be shocked how helpful some people can be and you may just find something you’ll use for a lifetime.

Based on my experience I can advise that it’s important to have a clear and scalable template with the possibility to list each product and service with a clear description to avoid hidden fees. Absolutely I think that the offer should always be personalized for any customer. I suggest always to discuss the offer in a call or in person to present the options, alternative, describing schema or images. One important point is to agree the next steps with a timeline and always remain available for any clarifications with a fast response time.

Connecting data with storytelling is powerful. Data alone will not be enough unless you can build a bridge to the emotional side of the brain with a story that not only creates engagement, but inspires a magical moment that connects with people and compels them to take action. Data tells, stories sell. People who employ storytelling will find being an effective communicator more meaningful, because the left side of the brain draws upon the emotions of the right side when a verdict is made. People are gonna talk on here about the correct strategies but I think the most important thing is to pick up the phone. Don’t present anything over email. Call them.
