What are the most effective ways to improve teacher morale and job satisfaction?

Teacher deserves to be respected and accepted as humans for more effectiveness in class. We also deserves to rewarded or appreciated physically, financially and in other ways to motivate us to do more. A happy teacher share happiness with the learners and such teacher finds a ways to emotionally connect with the learners. Salaries and other benefits should be paid at when due. Teachers deserves some benefits to also take care of our families. A happy teacher will go extra miles to get every lesson well planned and delivered. So teachers happiness matters.

I would second this because support which as a teacher I can provide for my learners is so important than what I could inculcate them. Individual must feel safe and in a good space for grasping the things they are willing to learn. Supporting them and keeping the environment Hospitable for learning is the most best thing a teacher could create

Teachers need to be seen as human not a an God who cannot make a mistake. What kills teachers morale like when there's a mistake, then someone destructively underestimate our value or talk us down or publicly disgrace us, I have not see. Mistake comes when a teacher is stressed up or needs not met or place unnecessary pressure on us. I don't like pressure. I like to enjoy whatever I am doing. Feedback ought to be improve our practises not destroy or social and mental health.

One thing I learnt through my experience is collaboration is that more one is involved the more the same individual is invested. Most will say a student must be involved in the listening process and make class interactable, I would rather say that it is two way street. Empowering individual (students) to self driven tasks which will make them involved in the subject is absolute best way to keep things in line.

Teachers knows what works and what doesn't work well in their teaching and learning practises. Teachers should involved in: * decision that affects or hinders learners * curriculum development * choice of learning materials * social and mental wellbeing of themselves and the learner to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Involving teachers give them a sense of responsibility required to make a positive change.

As a Part time teacher for some duration myself I found it hard to cope up my time balancing for my work and my normal life. So one must really need to know balancing the work-life. Be it restricting the classes, rigid with the schedules which should ideally bring the teacher's work/life activities into their life. It might feel as if something is being pushed forcibly, however balancing these in Proper way will make things poised in a positive manner for the teaching personnel

Unrealistic expectations is affecting many teachers social and emotional wellbeing. Oftentimes teachers are made to spend a lot of time doing task or research that will be trash immediately. Such teacher left their families unattended to because of unfavourable demands from administrators who doesn't understand what's happening in the classroom. Many teachers often take home many of their school work home to complete leaving or detaching them from their own families. I'll encourage teachers to leave school work in school since we can take some of our work or chores at home to school to complete.

Positive school culture is the basis for this. Celebration, camaraderie, trust, and meaningful relationships emerge naturally from a school (or district) that is built on a foundation of these attributes. It can not be faked. It can not blossom overnight. It takes time to create the kind of school culture that values these beliefs, that puts them into action day-to-day, and that believes that all members of the school and district community act accordingly, from school board member to paraprofessional to student. At the school level the principal is the point person for building a positive and lasting school culture; she leads the way.

The school or our workplace should be a community where everyone is important, celebrated, appreciated, encouraged, genuinely loved and cared for. Teachers should be intentionally taken care of and valued to improve our social and emotional well-being. The school policy should safe guard the teachers as well from their administrators, learners, parents and the community.
