L'amélioration de la sécurité des patients passe par la reconnaissance de la parole des patients auprès des professionnels de santé et des institutions décisionnaires en politique de santé. C'est pourquoi le r?le des associations de patients est si important et que leur indépendance est cruciale. Le bénévolat ne me semble pourtant pas une clé dans ce monde de brutes : Le r?le de "patient expert" devrait donc pouvoir se professionnaliser, bénéficier d'un soutien financier spécifique, assurant son indépendance intellectuelle et sa sécurité économique pour contribuer activement aux groupes de projets publics et privés.
