1 Define your diversity goals

Diversity can be defined in many ways, such as demographic, cognitive, functional, or cultural diversity. You also need to align your diversity goals with your strategic objectives, values, and mission. For example, do you want to increase the representation of underrepresented groups, foster a more collaborative and creative environment, or enhance your social impact?

Assessing diversity is important for understanding current dynamics & areas of improvement in the company. There are several methods/metrics to assess diversity. However, diversity alone is not good enough. True success comes from embracing equity and inclusion alongside it. While hiring a diverse workforce is crucial, it's equally important that every individual feels respected & valued. Inclusion ensures that each person regardless of background feels a sense of belonging. It's not just about the numbers…. it's about creating a culture where everyone's voice is heard & respected. When diversity, equity & inclusion work together, they form a powerful team & eventually help companies to reach its full potential.
