There are numerous frameworks or models to design your development plan, such as the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) model, the GROW (Goal, Reality, Options, and Will) model, or the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, and Act) cycle. But remember each of these models was designed by someone who was seeking a better way. Do not get trapped inside the framework. Remember to think outside the box. It is entirely possible that the foundation of the next great framework is being formed in your head right now. Study the work which has already been accomplished but never forget there is still room to grow. Develop yourself and you may find you have created some wonderful new tool which can be used by others who may follow.
