In my experience most of the times user stories are created but acceptance criteria is not well defined. In such cases, it becomes another task to bring all the stake holders to the same page. If acceptance criteria is well defined, the user story would be implemented in a much better manner and help gain better control over the development activities.

The topic of retrospectives is my favorite. More because I have seen it to be the most neglected aspect in most projects. Many times there is such a high pressure of keeping the development activities going that there is hardly any time left for the team to retrospect. This in itself is a point of retrospection. If the team cannot find what went good and what did not, how would they be able to improve? I encourage retrospective as they help the entire team learn from each other and grow together.
