Project charter is used to summarize the purpose, scope, objectives, milestones, roles, & risks of the project. Also this supports in bringing whole team & stakeholders on the agreement. Also, SIPOC diagram is used to map the suppliers, inputs, process, outputs, and customers process to identify the boundaries & key elements of process. Eventally voice of the customer techniques are used for collecting & analyzing the needs, expectations, preferences, and feedback of customers, which helps in understanding their expectations and how they perceive process and its outputs.
