In order to accurately forecast demand, the biggest challenge is to capture all breakdown and consumption data across various assets. This is typical for unplanned maintenance resulting from minor breakdowns. Lack of Data integrity and accuracy stem from incomplete or inconsistent feedback from the team , especially where Perception forms the input towards the cause of breakdown / upset conditions. Ironically, organizations end up investing huge resources in various MMS / BA tools and softwares, often overlooking the basic principle of data; i.e. Garbage In - Garbage Out
