In order for this practice to be valuable you have to find problems as early in the build process as possible by using the various techniques others have commented on and then give the user actionable feedback about what can/should be done differently to avoid the security problem. I see a lot of implementations where problems are pointed found but give no guidance on how to resolve the issue. In my experience that just leads to frustration for the user. We can do better.

Because our lack of time, sometimes we just don’t think about documenting anything, specially the problems and when something happens again, we lose a valuable time just searching again from scratch. From my experience, this is an important aspect of how to improve inside the team, not only regarding the on-board side for new colleagues but also from a personal perspective, because it helps you to realize if you really understood what you did and how you implemented it.
