Some of the best advice I've received in this area is to count to 5 after the person finishes speaking before beginning; this helps prevent speaking over the other person, which does not leave a good impression.

I would also add, at the start of the interview, establish what the back up plan is in case of a device freezing, Wi-Fi failure or general connectivity issues. For examples, establish a phone number for phone contact. Or for the interviewee also have a backup device from which you can hot spot. Let the interviewer know that is there are any technical hitches you will be right back online and will hotspot. Ask them the interviewer the same question on what you can expect. This will ensure that you have one less thing to think about during the interview.
