Your value proposition is the unique combination of benefits and experiences that you offer to your employees and potential candidates. It should reflect your brand, mission, values, and culture, as well as the needs and expectations of your target talent pool. If you do not define your value proposition clearly and consistently, you will have a hard time communicating and delivering it to your employees and candidates. You will also miss the opportunity to differentiate yourself from your competitors and create a strong employer brand.

Your stakeholders are the people who have a direct or indirect interest in your human capital strategy, such as your leaders, managers, employees, customers, suppliers, and partners. They can provide valuable insights, feedback, and support for your strategy, as well as help you implement it effectively. If you do not involve your stakeholders in your human capital strategy development, you risk creating a strategy that is disconnected from reality, lacks buy-in, and faces resistance and challenges.

Perspective of Human capital Strategy being the responsibility of HR function is the most likely common mistake. It should be a co-created strategy aligned to larger Org purpose/ objective with equal stakeholder inclination. If this is part of CEO’s interest or goal cascaded top down, it surely gonna add value to the implementation with a difference.

Your human capital strategy should be aligned with your business strategy, which defines your vision, goals, objectives, and priorities. Your human capital strategy should support and enable your business strategy, not contradict or compete with it. If you do not align your strategy with your business strategy, you will create confusion, conflict, and inefficiency in your organization. You will also waste resources and miss opportunities to leverage your human capital for competitive advantage.

They should be aligned with your goals and objectives, and measured by relevant indicators and metrics. If you do not measure your results, you will not know if your strategy is working, what is working well, and what needs improvement. You will also lose credibility and accountability for your strategy, and fail to demonstrate its value and return on investment.

We must be aware of our current situation and link our new HR strategy to the company's vision, mission, and strategy. One of the most important things you need to consider is the changing situation in your region or country.
