I think there are some other challenges when coaching start-ups. In the 15 or so years that I have been coaching start-ups I would say that the main challenge is simply one of time - time to commit to a series of meetings and time to commit to building on the practices discussed in the coaching sessions. Another challenge is simply how fast the business moves and how fast the needs of the business, its founding team and its staff change. Keeping up with this is a challenge however having a framework for the sessions AND the ability to pivot and change the coaching sessions to sometimes deal with reactive requirements is vital.
