In a team where communication is one of the keys to work, I have seen a lot of gaps where people fail to communicate. Even though if they communicate they fail to communicate the matter properly. While it is the duty of the team leaders to plan the project and assign tasks to the members but it is important to discuss the plans with the team first and in that process, sometimes there are conflict of thoughts because some team members may believe that the plan will work out well while others may not be able to see the plan working out. Taking everyone's thoughts into consideration and then deciding the appropriate plan is very essential for a team.

When everyone is on the same page in terms of understanding you're ready to work on how to tackle getting the part your team works on done.

As such, it's important to learn new languages and technologies. However, when you have to work with a language that you're not that familiar with, you often have to rely on the SME in the group. If that's not you, you need to be comfortable asking questions and studying best practices so you don't cause any quality issues with the final product.

Technical challenges are big commonly because many projects are comprehensive with dependencies and if one component is not correct this impacts another. #1. There should always be a growth plan for developers and a resource to train or mentor them and #2. If there are technical challenges, QA's who test their work, release managers who deploy it, and PM's need to work together to identify where there could be a skill or knowledge gap to ensure this doesn't pose as big risk to projects, but also to allow that person to grow on that respective team.

I think sprints can lend themselves to burnouts. Hopefully the amount of work per sprint is well manageable but sometimes it can get overwhelming. We need to step back, recalibrate, and be open about our personal challenges when they arise.

Cultural differences are a challenge to consider and tackle in teams. Be open, don't judge a person before you know them plainly on the color of their skin, their sex, orientation, or heritage. If you do not understand why someone does act differently than you are used to it in your team, start a discussion with them filled with honesty and curiosity. Show them that you want to understand them better, they might be curious about your cultural heritage as well.
