It's not just about finding someone whose goals align with yours, but also someone who challenges you in the right ways. I've found that the best peer coaching relationships are those where both parties aren't afraid to push each other out of their comfort zones. It's not enough to simply nod and agree; you need someone who will question your methods and reasoning, forcing you to defend, adapt, or even change your viewpoints. Also, needs change, goals evolve. A good peer coach isn't just compatible with your current self, but will also adapt with you over time. My most successful peer coaching relationships are those that have evolved as we have, tackling new challenges as they arise.

Completely agree with what had been said but also I want to add the below phasal structure. 1- Foundation phase: In which we demonstrate ethical practice by consistently applying coaching standards in terms of appropriate language, personal integrity & honesty in interactions, being sensitive to the peer's indentity & developing the ability to regulate one's emotions. 2- Co-creation of the relationship: By partnering with the peer to create clear agreements about the relationship, process, plans & goals. 3- Effective communication by practicing active listening & evoking awareness. 4- Cultivating learning: By transforming learning & insights into actions & promoting autonomy of the coaching process.
