The best way to identify the root causes for resistance to change, is to request structured feedback from all stakeholders, impacted by the change, on a regular basis. These heartbeat surveys, to track the pulse of the change, can be structured and designed with questions to understand, if there is a lack of clarity, learning opportunities or other concerns about the future. The regular pulsecheck surveys must be complemented by one-on-one checkpoints with executives and leadership , where we share the results of these surveys, hear their concerns, and clarify their role in a succesful transformation. Such rigour will make sure that barriers like conflicts of interest and major hurdles to success are tackled transparently.

Os gestores também tem um papel fundamental, o de ouvir o que os liderados tem a dizer e se colocar no lugar deles. Afinal, empatia é tudo e essencial. Para que o processo de mudan?a seja bem esclarecido, é importante que justifique quais os pontos positivos e negativos na vis?o do lider, quanto empresa e quais s?o estes pontos na vis?o quanto funcionário, pessoa aquela que vai executar a fun??o. Outro quesito importante é o tempo para adapta??o. Os resultados das mudan?as que realmente forem implementadas n?o ser?o de imediato.

Together with ADKAR, the 5 Whys, the force field analysis, one to one conversations, paying attention to Personality Traits and Needs is helpful to understand what motivates people to accept change or not. Questions people ask themselves (consciously or not) are: Will the change - help productivity and time efficiency? - have a positive impact on the people and their sense of belonging? - open new challenging and attainable objectives? - be sustainable in time? - reinforce/contribute to the mission? - reinforce individual and collective responsibility, accountability and leave room for creativity? If the answer is "yes, it will", and you can explain "how", chances are resistance will be overcome.
