Na minha experiência, a fase de coleta de dados é a parte mais sensível de uma pesquisa na área educacional. O método de coleta de dados deve ser escolhido de acordo com as possíveis variáveis interferentes da pesquisa. Assim, antes de escolher o protocolo de coleta de dados, identifique as variáveis que podem interferir na coleta, como: viés do observador (no caso de pesquisas observacionais), interesses conflitantes das pessoas pesquisadas e o escopo de objetivos da própria pesquisa.
