From experience I agree however, I would add that collaborative thinking is required as part of the change management mindset.

Building Trust and open communication with stakeholders to gain their confidence and support is important. Also, active listening to understand others' perspectives and concerns is so important. I feel this is one of the most critical and underrated skill in doing this. Lastly, taking ownership of decisions and developing accountability becomes very important as well. I agree, it also requires patience. Some people adapt to change quickly, with others it takes a little longer. Therefore I believe patience with others plays a role too.

Often when we communicate change it’s all about the HOW. How we’re going to use a new system or have a new organizational structure, etc. Instead, when communicating change we need to focus on the WHY. Why are we implementing that new system or structure? If you give your team the why, and can clearly articulate it in a way that everyone understands, then people will be much more willing to accept the HOW.

Change is difficult for everyone. Some people pretend that it's not effecting them, but it is. Some people are not shy to show their apprehension publically. Regardless, change must occur in a logical, systematic fashion, and without chaos and disruption at all three levels of: individual, team, and organization. Thank you.
